Quinn Marshall, MPA-DP, is a third-year doctoral student in the Department of International Health. He worked in the Nutrition Division of the World Food Program from 2013 to 2017, where he supported the development of guidance on nutrition-sensitive programs, aimed at improving the nutrition contribution of WFP’s safety net and resilience-building activities. During this time he also participated in a joint UN working group on nutrition-sensitive value chains and contributed to guidance on the integration of food security and nutrition in HIV prevention and treatment. His research interests are in the design and evaluation of cash transfer programs and the impact of food environments on diets. He is a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Peru, 2004 – 2006), has a Master’s in Public Administration in Development Practice from Columbia University, and a bachelor’s degree in finance from University of Maryland – College Park. His advisor is Dr. Jessica Fanzo, Associate Professor in the Berman Institute of Bioethics.
