Krycia Cowling

Krycia Cowling, MPH, is a fourth year doctoral student in the Department of Health Policy and Management. Her research focuses on the health impacts of global trade, with an emphasis on chronic diseases. Her dissertation will use longitudinal analysis to explore the relationships between increasing trade and investment liberalization and various changes in dietary, tobacco, and alcohol consumption, across countries and over time. Krycia received a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a Master of Public Health in Global Health, both from the University of Washington. She previously worked as a research fellow at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation and the Public Health Foundation of India. Her advisor is Dr. Keshia Pollack, Associate Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management.
