Elena Broaddus

Elena Broaddus, MSPH, is a third year doctoral student in the Department of International Health’s Social and Behavioral Interventions Program. Her research interests include integrated nutrition programs that combine small-scale sustainable agriculture, nutrition education and counseling, and attention to the social and structural factors that impact food access and availability. She received her undergraduate degree in anthropology and biology from Cornell University and her Master of Science in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her dissertation research examines Homestead Food Production as a strategy for improving child diet quality in Nepal. Her advisor is Dr. Peter Winch, Professor in the Department of International Health.
