Keeve Nachman

Formerly the associate director of the Center for a Livable Future, Dr. Keeve Nachman currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering in the Bloomberg School of Public Health and Whiting School of Engineering. He was also the Co-Director of the Risk Sciences and Public Policy Institute.
Keeve has more than 25 years of experience conducting research and teaching in the field of food systems, environmental health, and risk assessment. His research focus is the application of the risk sciences to decision-making in the context of diet, drinking water, soils, dust, biosolids, and other human exposures. He has published on an array of food systems and environmental health topics, including food- and water-borne chemical and microbiological hazards, epidemiologic investigations of agricultural communities, soil and dust exposure, and the use of epidemiology and computational toxicological methods in risk assessment.
He earned his doctorate from the Bloomberg School in 2006 and his Master of Health Science degree from the Bloomberg School in 2001 in the field of Health Policy and Management. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing Seminars from the Johns Hopkins University. He was a CLF-Lerner Fellow from 2004 to 2005.
