Joci Raynor, the Center for a Livable Future's Director of Operations, provides essential leadership that enables the organization to run smoothly. Prior to joining the Center in 2008, she spent 16 years at the School's Center for Communications Programs. In both positions, Joci felt fortunate to work for an organization with causes she believes in.
Joci appreciates the people who make up the Center and the fact that their commitment to a sustainable food system and healthy environment extends further than job duties. "It's a part of your life, and it's necessary," she said.
A native Marylander and a diehard Baltimore Ravens fan, she can recall visiting her grandparents on the Chesapeake Bay as a child and has noticed the decline of the fishing and crabbing industries in the state over her lifetime. As a mother and G-Ma, Joci is gratified that the Center strives to improve the lives of future generations both in the local community and beyond.
