Jazzmin Fenwick
Budget Specialist
Jazzmin joined the Center for a Livable Future in 2024 as a Budget Specialist, supporting the Finance and Administration team, bringing years of experience in accounts payable and quality coordination. Some of her previous employers include Maryland Transit Authority Mobility and Mile One Auto. This is her first position at the Johns Hopkins University, and she looks forward to learning and growing with the Center.
At the Center, in addition to supporting the Finance and Administration team and the budget analyst, she processes invoices, vendors, honorariums, purchase orders, and more. Born and raised in Baltimore, Jazzmin is currently working on an accounting degree in a double program with Baltimore City Community College and Frostburg University.
“I’m interested in food and how we eat, and how it all aligns with health,” she says. Her daughter was born with food allergies, which prompted a change in diet for herself, her daughter, and her mother. She has eliminated processed foods from their diets and now cooks everything from scratch. “My mom accuses me of starving everyone,” she says. She spends Sundays in the kitchen, prepping meals for the whole week.
Recently, her daughter was asked if she eats Kraft, and her daughter didn’t know what that was. “That’s how I knew I was doing a good job,” says Jazzmin.
Jazzmin is a seasoned shopper, as well. She describes herself as the person who never remembers buying anything, but has everything. She’s accustomed to people telling her, “I know you have it.”
