111 Market Place, Suite 840 Suite 840

Research Program Coordinator

Aisha joined the Center for a Livable Future in 2023 as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Food Policy Solutions Focus Area. Now, as a Research Program Coordinator, she supports the focus area in advancing the development of food production models that support public health, environmental justice, and climate change mitigation. Aisha (pronounced EYE-sha) is particularly passionate about promoting sustainable and climate-friendly agricultural practices and bridging the gap between policy and practice to ensure that food systems transformations translate into tangible and equitable outcomes.

She recently earned her MSPH in International Health – Human Nutrition from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, along with a certificate in Food Systems, the Environment, and Public Health. For her capstone, she collaborated with the International Food Policy Research Institute on a cross-country evidence synthesis project evaluating the nutritional quality and environmental impact of school meal programs.

Previously, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Sustainability from the George Washington University. Before joining Hopkins, Aisha worked at the International Union for Conservation of Nature on a One Health and Landscape Approach project, engaging with stakeholders across four African countries to explore nature-based solutions for improving environmental and human health, including integrating conservation and climate mitigation goals into landscape-level forestry planning and policy.

Outside of work, Aisha enjoys gardening, cooking, and outdoor activities such as basketball, tennis, and skateboarding.
