Promote transitions to food production methods that support the health of people and the planet

The Center for a Livable Future (CLF) works to facilitate transition of food production methods to those that support human and ecosystem health, and aid mitigation and adaptation related to climate change. Given that food systems operate within a complex web of social and ecological systems, CLF applies a nuanced and pragmatic approach to addressing drivers of harmful production methods and transitioning toward healthier and more sustainable practices. Change can take many forms, from specific interventions to improve efficiency or reduce harms, to a fundamental rebuilding of agricultural systems. In recognition of this, CLF stewards scientific evidence to inform policies to align food production methods with public and planetary health.
