Holly Henry
Fellowships Awarded: 2010, 2009
Holly Henry, MHS, is third-year PhD student in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society. She is examining how children’s meals at fast-food restaurants can be altered to improve the nutritional quality of the meals. She will investigate new strategies by companies to offer "healthier" side items as the default for children’s meals. The goal of her research is to understand the role the default option plays in parental decision-making and its subsequent influence on health, with an eye towards policy change at the corporate level. Ms. Henry received a BA in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University, and an MHS from the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her advisor is Dr. Dina Borzekowski, Assistant Professor in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society.
