Elisabeth (Betsy) Donaldson

Fellowships Awarded: 2013, 2012

Elisabeth (Betsy) Donaldson, MHS, is a third-year doctoral student in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society. She earned a bachelor’s degree in bio-behavioral health from the Pennsylvania State University and a MHS in behavioral sciences from the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Elisabeth has spent the past several years working in global tobacco control, most recently at the Institute for Global Tobacco Control. Elisabeth’s research has examined the cost-effectiveness of cancer prevention and treatment policy interventions. Given the success of policy interventions in reducing the prevalence of tobacco use, her current research interests include examining related policy changes to food systems and evaluating the impact of these changes on population-level health outcomes. Her advisor is Dr. Joanna Cohen, associate professor in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society.
