Megan Clayton, MPH, is a fifth-year doctoral student in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society. She received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce and a Master of Public Health from the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Ms. Clayton’s doctoral research examines the role of food workers in US food safety. Her dissertation explores whether and how poor food working conditions may be accounted for within federal food safety regulations and how these conditions relate to food safety from the food worker and worker advocate perspective. Her advisor is Dr. Katherine Clegg Smith, associate professor in the Department of Health, Behavior and Society
