Benjamin Davis

Benjamin Davis is a fifth year doctoral student in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences. His research interests revolve around exposure and risk assessment for foodborne illnesses. Ben’s dissertation research focuses on developing statistical techniques to predict Vibrio parahaemolyticus bacteria in estuaries such as the Chesapeake Bay. These techniques will be used to create prediction models that quantify the human exposure and risk of infection from consuming shellfish contaminated with these bacteria. Ben is also a fellow of the Johns Hopkins Water, Climate, and Health Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (IGERT). His advisor is Dr. Frank Curriero, Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology.
